The Story for Tonight

Stories are hard to retell, like dreams—
they whisper secrets beneath tangled fears, doubts, and hopes,
tracing back to the self, shaping how we see and judge.

From the coming of nightfall to the cloak of darkness,
a wildcat transforms into a lion—
but in the deepest dark, what is a lion, truly?

My tale is told, and here comes a lion.
Whoever catches it first, don’t forget to open its belly.
